FR 331/306-RCx - 3U OpenVPX™ fabric switch

The FR 331/306-RCx is a 3U OpenVPX™ fabric switch board with a x4 PCI Express™ data plane (VITA 46.4) and a 1000 Base-BX control plane (VITA 46.6) per payload board. The FR 331/306-RCx is designed for use in VPX-REDI PCI Express Backplane environments supporting six payload boards, two additional Ethernet ports and a configuration control interface. The FR 331/306-RCx is suitable for use in centralized switching systems as defined in OpenVPX (VITA 65). The FR 331/306-RCS is a VPX-REDI Type 1 Two-Level Maintenance conduction-cooled board and the FR-331/306-RCT is VPX-REDI Type 2. For non-rugged applications a VPX version, the FR 331/x06, is available. Typical applications include networking equipment, data management and blade-based servers in vertical markets such as defense, communications, medical and automation.

Cometh 4410a 3U OpenVPX Fabric Switch

ComEth 4410a, provides the OpenVPX hybrid switch
market with all its experience regarding managed Ethernet switches.
Built on the same architecture as the ComEth 40xx family, for the control plan, the Ethernet switch supports full-wire speed L2 bridging and L3 routing with L2-L4 advanced traffic classification, filtering and prioritization. The ComEth 4410a is man- aged by our tried and tested Switchware, regularly enriched with new functionalities.

Cometh 4340a VPX 6U Rugged Switch L3 24 * 1000KX

The ComEth4340a is built on the latest generation of Gigabit switch engine and PHY
transceiver.
Its highly integrated chip combines in a single equipment a full layer 3 router with an optimized power consumption.
The ComEth4340a supports full-wire speed L2 bridging and L3 IPV4/V6 Unicast and Multicast routing with L2-L4 advanced traffic classification, filtering and prioritization. For instance, it can provide strict priority traffic and filtering needed for delay-sensitive or critical applications.

Main Features:

 

  • 24 * 1000KX compliant ports routed on rear I/O (P2 & P3 connectors).
  • 2 * 10GKX4 ports available on P1 rear connector.
  • 2 * 10Gigabit ports available on the front panel (XAUI/10GB-CX4).

Thanks to software configuration, up to 16 * 1000KX ports can be used in 1000BT
mode and routed on P5 & P6 connectors.

ComEth4340a models are also available with 4 * 1Gbe on the front panel (4 * 1000SX/ LX fiber channels or 4 * 1000BT copper ports). In these configurations, 20 * 1000KX ports remain available on the backplane (12 of them configurable as 1000BT).

Management Capabilities :

The ComEth4340a can be monitored from a browser, a CLI or SNMP. The whole sys- tem can be easily managed and handled. A comprehensive Built-in test makes easier the maintenance of this switch. Many additional functions are provided on this full- managed version :

  • Configuration of all the PHY and switch parameters, ports monitoring, static MAC address, QoS policy, Multicast and VLAN control, STP/RSTP protocols, MAC security
  • Monitoring of all statistical counters and an extensive list of RMON counters

ComEth4340a is available in 6U 0.8” Pitch form factor, from Standard to Conduction-

The IC-FEP-VPX6a is a VPX hybrid processing engine coupling the latest generations of FPGAs and processor, both of them delivering a very high level of performance per watt.
With its QorIQ™processor for system management and a PCIe advanced switch for a versatile coupling between the processing nodes, the IC-FEP-VPX6a board expands the flexibility of the two Virtex-6 FPGAs and the VPX high bandwidth serial interfaces.

TR MS1/321-RCx 3U VPX-REDI Mass Storage Module

The TR MS1/321-RCx mass storage module provides a flexible solution for designers wishing to add a 2.5-inch SATA300 mass storage drive to a 3U VPX-REDI system. The carrier accommodates a single 2.5-inch SATA300 solid-state drive and includes support for a CompactFlash™ Type-I card. The TR MS1/321-RCx is designed to work with a range of 3U conduction-cooled VPX-REDI systems. The module is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C where it is suitable for a range of applications within the defense, industrial control, telecomms, telemetry and aerospace markets.
