XM RS1/20X – XMC 3 x RS232 and 4 x RS422/RS485

Descripton:

The XM RS1/20x is a multi-channel asynchronous serial communications XMC adaptor which supports either 3 x RS232 ports, 7 x RS232 ports or 3 x RS232 and 4 x RS422 differential (RS485 multi-drop) ports. It is suitable for use with XMC Host Boards of many form factors including VME, VXS™, VPX™ and CompactPCI®. The XM RS1/20x is ide ally suited to expand upon the number of serial ports of the host processor board, or fitted to a passive carrier, and can be used in a wide range of industrial, commercial, telecommunication, financial and defense applications. For harsher environments, extended temperature, ruggedized air-cooled and ruggedized conduction-cooled versions are available. To simplify the board’s integration many popular industry standard operating systems are supported

  • XMC adaptor supporting 3 x RS232 ports, 7 x RS232 ports or 3 x RS232 and 4 x RS422/RS485 ports:
    • using 16550 compatible serial interface channels
    • CTS, RTS, DCD, DSR, DTR and RI support
  • Supporting 3 ports via the front panel and optionally 4 ports via the PMC P4 I/O connector
  • XMC (Switched Mezzanine Card) format:
    • single size CMC (Common Mezzanine Card)
    • 1 x1 PCI Express® interface (Gen1)
  • For use with VME, VXS™, VPX™, CompactPCI® and other XMC Host Boards
  • Extended temperature version (E-Series, K-Series):
    • 0°C to +55°C (N-Series)
    • -25°C to +70°C (E-Series)
  • Ruggedized versions (RA-Series, RC-Series):
    • RA: -40°C to +75°C, conformally coated, air-cooled
    • RC: -40°C to +85°C, conformally coated, conduction-cooled (at card edge) to ANSI/VITA 20-2001
  • Software support for Linux®, Windows® 7, Windows® Embedded Standard 7, Windows® XP, and Windows® XP Embedded
